P: Cannot upload reference image [merged thread]

I’m currently unable to upload photos to Firefly for editing, despite the service working for only about a week and a half. Considering the cost, this disruption is unacceptable. Please address this issue promptly or provide a full refund.

This problem is being investigated by Adobe.

 

UPDATE as of 2025-11-21:

Adobe has identified an interaction with Firefox which causes this problem. If you are experiencing this is Firefox, please use an alternative browser until this problem is resolved. If you are experiencing this problem with a browser other than Firefox, please indicate your OS, Browser and their version numbers. A screen recording demonstrating the problem would also be helpful.

Yes, I have attempted to upload a variety of image files and have also signed out and back into my account. As evidenced by the numerous responses under my post, several other users are encountering the same issue, indicating that this is not an isolated case. I tested the upload functionality on my wife’s laptop, where it did work; however, she uses a Windows system, whereas I am working on a Mac with Firefox.

I purchased this software with the expectation that it would function properly on my own computer. My wife’s device is required for her professional use, and relying on it is not a viable solution. The central concern is that the software should operate correctly on the platform for which I paid.

I respectfully request that this issue be addressed and resolved for myself and for the other affected users.

I couldn"t upload my images, i don't no way. Yesterday i had been worked all day, and i didn't have any problem

It happened few times on different firefly board. Generate video on board using firefly video, failed to upload both first frame and last frame image. It can only let me upload either first frame or last frame. After I uploaded the first frame, try to upload the last frame, it will emty the first frame image and only shows the last frame.  But if I leave the artboard, just go to generate video page, it is sucessful to upload the first and last frame image.

There is no error message when the upload fails. It just doesn't replace the previous image. It also doesn't work when I remove the previous image. When you drag an image onto the window you do get the green + symbol but nothing happens after that.
I've tried various images and even images that worked hours earlier.
I've been using the same browser with this platform for several months and not experienced this issue.

Dans Firefly, en choisissant Modifier dans la liste déroulante, le glisse-déposer ou le choix par le finder ne fonctionnent pas. 

Cela foctionne seulement pour les images générées par Firefly, pas pour les images personnelles.

I'm using Firefox.
Working with the Nano Banana model.
There is no error message when the upload fails. It just doesn't replace the previous image.
It also doesn't work when I remove the previous image.

I've just found that I am able to use Chrome but that doesn't explain why it suddenly stopped working in Firefox as so many others have reported.

Both frame images for video generation (Veo 3.1 / Veo 3.1 Fast) and reference images for image generation cannot be uploaded. I am an Adobe Creative Cloud user with 4,000 AI credits, but in this condition the service is unusable. Please fix this issue immediately and without delay. This is occurring here in Japan.
Additionally, I have never encountered such a critical malfunction on Google’s platform, the developer of Veo and Nano Banana.

Hello Adobe Team, 
there's no error message, information, or warning about this issue.
When you select the reference image you want to choose from your computer,
and depending on the size or upload speed, you have to wait a moment until the thumbnail appears in the Firefox menu.
That's where it gets interesting, because no thumbnail of the reference image is displayed, or rather, one isn't used!
The whole process essentially fails! It doesn't matter which browser or operating system you use, etc.
It looks like there's an image sharing problem in your system, because an image from the cloud works fine,
unlike one from your computer. And as I said, it happens everywhere, even on my phone, etc.
It's not on our end!

I've discovered something interesting.
Firefly images generated and downloaded to the computer can be used as references, 
but your own photos cannot. Apparently, Adobe is now looking at the EXIF ​​data and only allows AI references?
That would be really bad!

Now i tested Brave Browser instead of Firefox and now it works as usually! 🙂

So the Problem might be Firefox!
