Side-By-Side Comparison Illustrating How Firefly's Latest Version is Dramatically Lower in Quality

I'm getting horrible results with Firefly 3 as well. I really hope they don't get rid of Firefly 2 the way they did with Firefly 1.

My apologies. Droopy mentioned V1 worked better for him also. Can you try a V3 version and see what your results are?

I like your analogy "some things have fallen off the wagon". It does seem that features that worked well in past versions are compromised, and then they need to go back and fix those... I would say "2 steps forward, 1 step back"....

I have always liked your images, but the push for realism is screwing things up in its wake as you have noticed in your work. I adapt lol, but from my 30+ tests of completely different images, some parts have fallen off the wagon as we speed forward.

@Dave Gustafson ok, I see what you are saying.  Each new model seems to have some steps forward and some back.  I still miss Model 1 as it seemed better with my pop art chracters.

Actually Droppy I beg to differ. You have seen my images on Discord and 2 days of testing... it's a mess.

That is V2 and it looks great, textures are great and the stylized hair is awesome.

V3 is a blurry mess, yes the face looks more realistic, but at what cost? I hate to complain about a preview but it is also ignoring structure references in my other tests. Type in structure reference is extremely bad rendering out, V2 is crisp and spot on. I'll be in that Discord thread this weekend. I have extreme respect for the Firefly team, but something is broke.

@Mark DeMent Interesting to hear you say that because in my testing yesterday, model 3 produced better images than model 2 in side-by-side comparisons about 80% of the time. Would be interested to see some of your comparisons. We have a thread in the Firefly Discord where we are posting comparisons between models 2 and 3: #daily-themes/Model 2 VS Model 3 

I am also getting juvenile looking images in Firefly image 3 compared with Firefly image 2. Image 3 results are very simple and boring. Image 2 results are so much better. Would never use Firefly if the results looked like what I was getting Firefly image 3.

Wow, that second image is kind of a mess....
