P: Maintaining a scene or character across different prompts

Community Beginner ,

Let's say I wanted to storyboard a script and produce different angles of the same thing. It would be nice to have something that holds on to the core look and objects within the frame so we can get a wide, medium , and close shot of the same scene.

Hi @Ramanakumar17844919axyr,

I have moved your post to this thead where you can see that others have asked for the same feature. Currently, Firefly does not have this capability. I encourage you to upvote this threat (at the top) to show your support of this request.

Firefly is a tool and like any tool, it has specific purposes and specific capabilities.  I was one of the first to ask how to keep a character across multiple scenes and requests, etc.  But, alas, I realize that I like Firefly very much for creating and polishing one-off graphics but it is never going to be the solution for all of the specific requests being made.  Its kind of like wanting a hammer to act like a saw and being frustrated when that is not in the wheel house of the tool. 😃

So,  I sought out other tools and found that there are tools that, indeed, allow me to create a character, modify it to suit my needs and then use that character in dfferent scenes doing different things and in different positions from the viewers point of view as my story develops.

Asa courtesy to Adobe and the Firefly software, I am not publishing what I found on this forum  unless I hear from a moderator that it would be OK to make that posting and describe how I use the tool.

But folks, please use Firefly for what it excels at and use other tools for what they excel at.  No need to be frusttated. 😃

You're making a good point 🙂 however as an independant creator myself, my budgets are already stretched to the max, so if a solution is to find yet another service, than I might as well move away from adobe to that.  Point being, I would love to contribute and see adobe contributed too with honest and raw feedback (even it folks are frustrated with growing paynes) because ultimately it will (should) make adobe even better.

Thank you for these beautiful functions.

I wanted to ask for a function that would give us character consistency. Even though I give the same prompt for describing a character and style reference the outcomes vary a lot. It would be cool that be able to create storyboards with a character looking the same in each shot and wearing the same clothing.

I don't know if that's technically feasible, but it would be awesome!

And yeah, I have great ideas in general, so if you want me to work for you guys, I'm in! I'm using the adobe cloud for over a decade and currently study UX/UI Design. You can find me on [PII removed by moderator] .

Sincerely,

Different camera angles (like a real video storyboard) would be huge as well. Wide establishing shot, cut to medium shot of two people talking, cut to CU of character 1 (looking the same as the wide and medium shots with the same character having different expression(s)), cut to opposite angle showing second character matching their same face as wide/medium. So much need for this feature. I also see other software with this capability. I wonder why Adobe (with the power to do everything we've come to love) is struggling with this one. Not so much as a peep or progress report on if they're even heard their client base. chirp-chirp

I agree.  Need to keep the same charactors to generate different head and body positions to create stop animations.

I think it would be good to be able to create a 'character' in FlireFly that you can then use in other images. This could be a photo-realistic person or a cartoon character that can then be placed and posed in other scenes. For example, I could write a story based on the hare and the tortoise and then create a character of the hare and one for the tortoise and then use those characters and a consistent style across all images to create a series of images to illustrate the story.

I absolutely agree, this needs to be done urgently. After all, it is a big company and this is a big deficiency. The artificial intelligence that emerged yesterday continues to surpass Adobe at full speed, unfortunately. I say this with sadness.

Hi @Harold Silva
At this time, Firefly does not allow you to create different versions of the same character. You can use a similar prompt with the same details that describe the character but Firefly will try create a unique image each time. You could use Generative Fill to change part of the image but that is limiting if you want the character to change positions/poses.

Hello,

I am visual communication designer. We got a task from one of our client for a TV commercial. I am actively using firefly for almost any of my creative work. For this spesific task, we tried to create a storyboard with Firefly.

I had my main character as a middle-eastern guy who's in his 40's. It was very helpful to generate the scenes, but the character's face was different in every single scene, even though I used the exact same prompts. I tried to keep the same face in different scenes but it didn't work. So at the end of trying a lot, I just go back to the traditional way of creating a storyboard with my drawing tablet. But I think Firefly has a very big potential for making storyboards.

I think it would be very useful to have a feature which keeps the progression , while we are generating multiple images for the same story. Maybe there is a way to solve my problem in this case that I don't know yet.

Thanks in advance,

Tunç

Hi tuncbudak!

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with Adobe Firefly — we really appreciate your detailed feedback! If you can upload a reference image of your character, you might be able to guide Firefly in maintaining more consistent features across scenes. This could help ensure that the character’s appearance stays more consistent throughout the storyboard. However, I’ll pass your feedback along to our development team for review.

Let us know if you have any questions.
