You asked and we listened! Coming to beta this week are two new features in Media Encoder: the ability to scale video and to rotate video. Related, we've also added a feature to flip the output width and height. This makes matching the output to a rotated clip a one-button-click.

You gave us the idea to do this and now we'd love to get your feedback on the new feature before it's released. Let us know in the comments what you think.

Thanks,
Fergus

I just tested this feature in the beta with a bulk of videos and it works great! Thank you for implementing this highly requested feature, very much appreciated! 👍

I've been waiting for this feature for 7 years :-). Thanks. Where can I download the beta version?

It would be "nice" to actually explain where to find the feature and how to use it...
I found it but when I rotate the video it cleverly rotates the video WITHIN a vertical frame, very useful, NOT.
I can't figure out how to do this simple task properly even after googling for a while.

So i figured out that I have to manually change the dimensions...honestly but then the whole thing has cleverly changed all the settings so that I end up with a crap quality version of my video.
It's a simple task I'm trying to do really. I want to rotate the video and have an EXACT SAME QUALITY COPY OF MY ORIGINAL.

Hi!

It's really a good idea to add the rotation feature to the media encoder, but I i'm sorry I can't find it! 🤔

Could you please tell me where I have to look? I'm using ME23.6 (Build 62).

Thanks,

Matthias
