Adobe Media Encoder will automatically rename inputted source files to their embedded tape name if there is one.
For example:
Source File: Drone Footage Comp 001
Tape Name: Drone Glasgow 22-06-24
Adobe Media Encoder will output the file as Drone Glasgow 22-06-24 and totally disregard the original file name. This is also true for transcoding AS-11 MXF files. AS-11 files will have their production ID as a tape name, and AME will output the file as the production ID.
This may be helpful in some situations, but it really should be keeping original file names by default - especially when you're transcoding lots of files.
