Media Encoder won't export HEVC less than 64px wide

I am trying to export a small portion of an AE composition as a thin video with a dimention of 60x2160 px. Using the crop panel in the export settings it's easy enough to set the dimensions and do the same to the video settings. However, the exported video file has a size of 64x2160px. If I go back into ME and double-check the export settings before starting the queue, the right side under the Video section now shows the video dimentions as 64x2160. The video exports at the correct dimensions using other formats like H.264 or Quicktime, but the dimensions won't stay where I've set them using HEVC. I can't seem to find any sort of minimum size limitations for HEVC, so I'm wondering if this is a bug.

I vaguely remember that there was a minimum frame size. Asking our Friends over at the Formats Team.

I just asked the Formats Team. Minimum size is 16x16px. I just tried to export a video with a width of 60px. And it worked for me. Can you provide a screen recording showing your whole workflow? I seem to be missing something here.

Sure thing, here's a fresh (partial) export and a glipmse of the video dimensions resetting themselves from 60px to 64px. Screen Recording ME Settings (Box link)

Thanks for your screen recording.

I was not able to repro with a ProRes file transcode in Adobe Media Encoder (Beta) 24.5.0.43 on macOS 14.5 (MacBook Pro 16", 2021, M1 Max) by following strictly your steps from the screen recording.

I did the same thing with a very simple UHD After Effects comp I created in After Effects (Beta) 24.2.0.71. I followed your steps, and I was able to export with a width of 60 without a problem.

Okay, thanks for giving it a shot @EckiAME. I'm on an M1 Pro so that's probably as good of comparison as we're going to get. I might try to reset or reinstall ME then, thanks again for looking into this and confirming I'm not below the minimum size.

Unfortunately, a reinstall of ME didn't help me with that export setting refusing to stay at 60px. Out of curiosity, is there a better way to accomplish what I'm trying to do? My next thought is to try cropping the AE comp down to the desired final dimensions first.

I am on Version 24.4.1 (Build 2). This was a new workflow for me, so I'm not sure how long it may have been happening.
