Cannot edit and cannot save to local file on free version of XD

Hi,

 

I am using the free version of XD for my only project. Recently I have been unable to edit anything in my XD file which is saved to the cloud. Everything on the UI that is related to editing is greyed out (the Edit menu, the left sidemenu,...), and I cannot move or edit any existing item. When I tried to save the file as local document, XD briefly created the file but then showed "r.states is not iterable" error, and the file gets deleted right after.

 

So what is the meaning of this? Is this a bug, or does this mean the free version of XD no longer supports editing file anymore, and I have to upgrade to continue editing my file?

We are sorry for the trouble. It looks like you are experiencing the similar issue mentioned here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/adobe-xd/error-while-opening-cloud-doc-quot-r-states-is-not-iterable-...

 

If so, then there is already a bug logged for the issue and the team is working on it. You'll definitely see improvements in the future releases of XD.

Thank you for taking time to reply to my post. I did see the post you linked, but since the symptom seems to be different I created a new post just to be sure. This is a rather critical bug so I hope it gets resolved soon.
