Which version of AE (is it 24.5x17)? Can you list your hardware for me?

We are aware of an issue in the current beta that sounds like what you're describing but I'd like to confirm with you on which build. Thanks.

When I mouse over a layer in the timeline or the viewport, the viewport flashes briefly. Happens regardless of composition, layer type or effect.

Expected result: the viewport does not flash.

The preview blinks when you scroll with the mouse along the timeline. when the mouse moves from one layer to another, and when in the preview the mouse leaves and enters the boundaries of the work area. maybe in other situations too.

Is it possible to roll back to the previous version 24.5 and not to version 24.4?

Steps to reproduce:
    1. Move playhead to change frame manually, or do anything that would cause the comp frame to refresh.

Result: Comp preview window turns black briefly before showing the updated frame. (see attached screen capture)
Expected: Previous frame remains visible until the updated frame is ready.

Workaround: Roll back to v24.4.0.41

The preview window flickers when scrubbing the timeline, and even when just hovering and moving the mouse over the timeline.  This happens in all projects, including ones made before the error started occurring. The same projects are fine in the release version of AE.

Steps to reproduce: open any project, move the mouse and/or scrub the timeline.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Grabbed the latest beta build and noticed the viewer is flickering constantly whenever it needs to update, like scrubbing the timeline or moving the viewer canvas. It happens in an empty project already with only one comp created.

[EDIT]

Same. Flickers since yesterday, right after AE Beta update.
EDIT: there's another thread where this bug has been reported.
