Hey Jeff, I am having the exact same problem as you. I tried every fix I could find on the internet and nothing worked.
So I decided to rollback to a previous version and boom, the flickers stopped, so it's definitely a problem with the 2025 version. From your specs, the only similarity between us is that we both have intel graphic cards.
I ran into the whats look like the same issue with the 25.1 version I've updated all my drivers I've turned off the FreeSync on my monitors
Problem: When I drag the time indicator the comp screen start flickering and also when I move or click the mouse. Whey I play the animation the flickering stops
Grabbed the latest beta build and noticed the viewer is flickering constantly whenever it needs to update, like scrubbing the timeline or moving the viewer canvas. It happens in an empty project already with only one comp created.
well before getting the new update the after effects beta was supper fine,
and now im facing a problem in the beta whenever I PUT a project into the app, im getting a blanking screen or flashing screen with a blackish color. and im uploading a video showing off the problem is; theerefore, my PC is s brand new and i paid for it around $4000 and each peice is brand new own buy. and i think the problem is after i had the new update of the beta.
if there is any fixes can be done by you that will be pefect
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
The preview window flickers when scrubbing the timeline, and even when just hovering and moving the mouse over the timeline. This happens in all projects, including ones made before the error started occurring. The same projects are fine in the release version of AE.
Steps to reproduce: open any project, move the mouse and/or scrub the timeline.
