Adobe Media Encoder Export of AE Compositions using Multi-Frame Rendering Now Available in 18.4x37

Today we are excited to announce the availability of AME Export of AE Compositions using Multi-Frame Rendering in the After Effects beta, available in builds 18.4x37 or newer. We strongly recommend you update to the latest Adobe Media Encoder beta but it is not required for AE MFR support.

What does AME Export of AE Compositions with MFR do? Adobe Media Encoder will now render After Effects compositions using Multi-Frame Rendering, speeding up export to formats that the native AE Render Queue does not support. Download the latest build from Creative Cloud Desktop.

You can see the AME to AE Export with MFR in action in the attached video.

Please use this forum post to discuss and provide feedback.

Thanks!

I feel like i've seen conflicting things. Is MFR being used in dynamic links inside of premiere as well?

Yes and no. If it's an AE composition that is just a dynamic link in PPro, then likely yes. But if it's an AE motion graphic template, then not yet, but probably early August. There are a few other scenarios where it is a yes or a no. We've held off saying it's all there until we are done, but yes, some places may be using MFR now when rendering AE from PPro.

Thank you for releasing this feature.

Quick question: while AME is "talking" to AE and using the multi-frame function, can we jump back in AE, open a new project and work on it whilst AME works on that render?

Thanks!

Yep. AME will take a copy of the project to render with, so you can keep working on other things.

Quick Question, in premier there is a setting to stop media encoder render while you're doing playback; Has any additional settings been added to AE that are like this that we need to manage?
