Save As Popup Window Closes When I Press Any Arrow Key in macOS Ventura

With the Save As popup window open, if I press any of the arrow keys, the popup window closes and nothing is saved.  I haven't tested every Adobe app but it happens for me in After Effects (2022 & 2023), Media Encoder, and Premiere Pro.  I also tested it in Photoshop 2023 and it does not appear to be an issue there.  I have reported it to Apple but it seeems like it might be more of an Adobe bug as no other apps I use seem to do this.  It was not an issue with Big Sur or Monterey.  Only appears to be an issue with Ventura betas.  I am currently running the Ventura RC and the recent Adobe 2023 app updates.

    Getting annoyed with the save dialogue box. If you so much as type "delete" or an arrow key while editing the file name, the box disappears.

      This is a known issue and under investigation. File dialogs on Mac just disappear when using certain keys.

      Have the same issue using while Ventura 13.0 and AE 23.0. However, in AE Beta 23.2 the issue is gone.

      Hi, any updates on this, a timeframe possibly?

      For needing to save out a ton of files each day, the workaround "just use your mouse" and other copy-paste hacks are temporarily functional but don't solve for all the lost time that adds up.

        MacBook Air, M1, 2021. After Effects 2023 save, render, and export dialogue window closes when you press any of the arrow keys when trying to edit a file name or moving in between finder folders.

        What I do is to copy/paste the file name, this will unhighlight the file name and take the cursor right to the end, then use the delete key to delete the name and re-name it the way I need to.

        Experiencing the same issues with "save as", "output to" and render windows closing upon using the arrow keys in After Effects, Premiere Pro and Media Encoder. All on v 23.0, issues are resolved when downgrading to v 22.6.
