Save As Popup Window Closes When I Press Any Arrow Key in macOS Ventura

With the Save As popup window open, if I press any of the arrow keys, the popup window closes and nothing is saved. I haven't tested every Adobe app but it happens for me in After Effects (2022 & 2023), Media Encoder, and Premiere Pro. I also tested it in Photoshop 2023 and it does not appear to be an issue there. I have reported it to Apple but it seeems like it might be more of an Adobe bug as no other apps I use seem to do this. It was not an issue with Big Sur or Monterey. Only appears to be an issue with Ventura betas. I am currently running the Ventura RC and the recent Adobe 2023 app updates.

Hi John - any chance of including this fix in a future 2022 AE update? Working with a major studio that is still stuck a version behind and still have this issue in ventura on 2023 M2 mac studio and 2023 m2 macbook pro in ae 2022.6.5

I know this is an AE forum, but the same exact problem is happening in Animate. I just updated to the most recent version, didn't solve the problem. I'll submit a bug report for Animate, but wanted to comment here because it's identical.

Mac OS 13.2.1 on an M2 Max, Build 70 of Animate 2023.

Photoshop 24.1.1 fixed the issue.

Illustrator 27.2 fixed the issue.

InDesign 18.1 fixed the issue.

xD 5.6.0.12 fixed the issue.

Premiere v23.1fixed the issue.

AE v23.1fixed the issue.

Media Encoder v23.1 fixed the issue.

Looks like the issue is fixed for all.

I use 23.1 version and problem still exist. What can we do? Uninstall and reinstall again?

Thank you for the help. Unfortunately, as many posters are stating, commercial studios are not upgrading to 2023 yet. Can you please help us get this fixed in CC2022? Thank you!!!

Any updates for AE 22.6? still have same bug and i cant upgrade to 23

It does work for v23.1. However, I'm still evaluating 2023 for plugin compatibility and haven't started fully using the new version (I noticed this one isn't backwards compatible with earlier versions so that threw a big red flag). There was an update for year 2022 titled v22.6 which I installed as well. That update DID NOT fix the issue. Any chance more updates will be pushed to AE 2022? I still use that most of the time.
