AE multi-screen project - Assistance needed

Hi guys,

I made a video in After Effects and I'm having a little trouble loading it over 3 screens, (1920x1080px each) total resolution being 5760x1080px. See attached image.

As you can see the file is not covering the full width and height of the screens.

My composition settings are also attached.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong here or provide some direction?

Many thanks,

David

If you have not gotten delivery specifications from your client, you have done NO favors for either.

Show us how do you export your footage and what are dimmensions of your main composition? Maby your footage is smaller than your main composition that you are exporting, maby your export settings make some kind of upscalling/downlscalling or maby both.

imeilfx I discovered that Adobe Media Encoder was scaling the file down.

So I increased the level from 5.0 to 6.0 which allowed me to readjust the pixel size.

Is this correct? Would you do it differently?

Don't fiddle with compression settings if you don't know specifically what you are doing and why.

In your case, I would use the factory H264 preset "Match Source - High Bitrate".  Because of the high resolution I'd up the Target Bitrate to 20Mbps.  If there's no audio in your project turn the audio off, otherwise leave it as is.

What hardware are you using for playback?  Some devices struggle with video playback over multiple monitors from one source file, and work better if the playback is split into seperate streams for each monitor.  But you need an appropriate tool to synchronise that kind of playback, like Pro Video Player for example.
