Hi guys,

I am meeting this error when opening AE. From the message, it read that the language preference needs to change to Chinese. So I have changed:

1. Adobe CC preference language to Chinese simplified

2. Operating system language to Chinese simplified

3. Administrative langauge to Chinese simplified

And I restart and removed AE before reinstalling, and still seeing thie error when opening.

Is this only happening when you're launching After Effects?

Have you tried reinstalling CC desktop app?

Hi Marek,

Thank you for your replying, I have tried reinstalling the After Effects, however it is still showing the same error. Is there anything do to with the registry key? Is this problem caused due to license langauge? Or is it a langauge compatibility issue with AE itself?

BTW, we need AE in Chinese though. Thank you for your time and effort.

This is registry value. I have tried with English and Japanese with Unicode language also changed to respective language and AE can operate. Really have no idea why Chinese does not work.

Hi Jack,

I think you will need to contact Adobe about that since it's a licensing error. They should be able to help.

Being a Creative Cloud subscriber you have access to support from Adobe.
