Hi all,

This issue has been fixed in the new After Effects version (22.0.1) release. More info: https://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects-discussions/adobe-after-effects-v-22-0-1-is-now-available/td-p/12517171

If you don't see the update in the Creative Cloud desktop app, try signing out and sign back in.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Nishu

I'm using 24.6.0 on a Mac running Sonoma 14.7 and the Queqe in AME button does nothing.

I am on windows 10, Ae 22.0.1 (Build 2), Pr  22.0.0 (Build  169) and Me 22.0 (Build 107). Link from Pr to Me works fine. But when I click in Ae "Que in AME" it opens Me and gets stuck forever with a message in Encoding Panel "Connecting to project...".
As a workaround there was mentioned somewhere in the tread to force quit the "aerendercore" process, but there is no such process in Windows Task Manager.
The problem remains with multi-frame rendering enabled or disabled.

Thanks for help.

Same here! I had to update from Mojave to Big Sur in order to get the new update (that was so excited about) and now AME is not linking to AE. Tried disabling the multi-frame render option and it didn't work for me.

I'm on a MacBook Pro. 2019

Big Sur 11.6

2.4 Ghz 8-Core Inter core i9

32 GB 2400 MHz DDR4

Radeon pro vega 20 4 GB

Intel UHD graphics 630 1536 MB

Update all the apps. Reboot. Problem solved.

Problem started when I updated the apps ... and there has been no update since as far as I can see ...
But disabling multi-frame rendering worked!

here is a half-solution for AE and PP, and AME

if you want to import to AE file to PP, and the app freezes

open the PP file which you are working on (don't try locate files) then
open ur AE file go to File > Adobe dynamic link > New PP sequence, this will create a new sequence in ur PP file, don't worry about it, now you can import the AE file, from PP go to File > Import (link media will not work)

FOR AME
after doing the steps above for PP, now the AME working for me, after tapping on Add to AME... it took about 10sec for the file to show up in AME

Hope this helps

i'm using Macbook Air M1 16GB Ram (have about 150GB free on the SSD)
running macOS 12.0.1

Thansk for sharing the workaround, Bassem5C35.

For the issue where Premiere Pro or Media Encoder freeze while working with After Effects comp, you could try disabling the Multi-Frame Rendering in the After Effects Preferences > Memory & Performance.

Let us know if that helps.

Nishu

Hello Everyone!

Having the same issue since I updated the whole Adobe Suite this morning. I tried with Premiere Pro and works but it seems that the issue is between AME and After Effects only. For some reason, the dynamic link is not working properly. I tried reinstalling both software and it rendered the first 3 compositions in the queue, then stopped working.

AMD Radeon Pro 5300M 4 GB

Here is my log.

I tried with the same file and the previous version of AE and media encoder- and that worked ... but when trying again with version 22 it stalled again.

Hi shaniceg54543739 & Kaia5FCB,

Welcome to the community and sorry for your issue. Please share more details so that we can troubleshoot the issue.

  • What are your system specifications (CPU, GPU, RAM, OS version)?
  • What exactly happens when you send the project to AME? Does it show any error?
  • Is it happening only with the existing projects (created in previous version) or new projects as well (create in the current version)?

We're here to help, just need more info.

Thanks,

Nishu

Mac Specifications *attached*.

The issue is I've updated to 2022 on Premiere, After Effects, AME etc
however when I try to export an AE comp through AME it doesn't work. It's
like it's not linked, I press OPTION-COMMAND-M and the video doesn't appear
on AME.

If I go to Render Queue, there is now a button that says Export via AME and
when I press that the video appears in AME, however when you try to change
the export settings, etc it gives you errors saying *'Could not read from
source. Please check settings and try again.' **(attached image)*

This is clearly an issue with AE and AME through the new update which is
blocking a lot of people and increasing workload as we can't export MP4's
without putting them through AME.

Please sort asap! Thanks!
