Hi everyone
I have Mac Studio with Ventura 13.2.1 . I tried importing a .glb and .obj file in AE 23.2.1. Why does this happen? What is wrong?

Here is the list of the compatible file types that After Effects. 3D models are not directly supported in the current release. You might want to look here: Preparing and importing 3D image files

The Beta version of AE does have limited support for some 3D model files. 3rd party effects like Video Copilot's Element 3D have the ability to import 3D models and you can import 3D models if you add a C4D file to your project using C4D lite and Cineware.

OBJ is now available in AE Beta. Functionality is limited. It will not be available in the current release until more testing is completed.

This is such a drawback considering that there are over a dozen youtube content creators who are posting content and tutorials on how to use the 3d function with obj and glb only to find that it is not publicly available or functional.  Here is just one singular example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PpIJrmAl26I . And to add insult to injury both Blender and Cinema4D have video integrated functions. I mean seriously how hard is it for a company worth $153.8 Billion Dollars to integrate 3D and semi 3D features at the current industry standard for After Effects? Rick is there a date for these proposed installments and if not, can we as public users and content creators request the beta at a cost of providing free  testing data to Adobe?
