Wacom Tablet Touchpad Scroll Crashing Windows Machine
Hi all,
I'm having an issue in After Effects. When I'm using my tablet and I use two fingers to scroll (as I normally do) it will sometimes stick as the hand and won't let me release, moving the timeline all over the place. This is annoying enough, but whatever. Usually by removing my hand and tapping the tablet with my finger changes it back to the mouse cursor and it goes back to normal (somewhat). The problem is, once this has happened I lose the ability to click on my taskbar, my windows icon, or any other app window to move them around. I have a normal cursor but nothing else responds to either the pen or touch. I believe I can usually continue working in AE, but if I minimize the window there's no way to re-open it. The only solution is CTRL-ALT-DEL and then cancel as it stops whatever process is hanging the system. FYI I don't seem to have this issue in premiere for example. I've tried resetting AE preferences. And then uninstalled and reinstalled AE. A conversation with Wacom says I'm as up to date with that driver as I should be and everything I've currently done is their suggested troubleshooting steps, but still the issue persists.
This was not an issue when I was working on a mac and it makes me think it's a windows ink issue. I have "use windows ink" disabled within my wacom preferences.
Anyone else having this issue? It's borderline making it impossible for me to work in AE using my tablet anymore.
I'm using an Ituos CTH-690 with the 6.3.38-2 driver. AE is the lastest CC version. Windows is 10 Pro 64 bit.
Thanks
Ryan
