It would be great to be able to select layers in Animate, open the menu, and click the button:
"Put selected layers in a new symbol" or something.

Hi mate, did you just double-post?

I saw your other message about New Anim Clip, but here is something more modern and actively supported:

Timeline Block To Symbol - http://flash-powertools.com/timeline-block-to-symbol/

Also, if things don't appear where you expect them after pasting, means that you do not understand symbol registration.

This article may open your eyes about that: http://flash-powertools.com/understanding-symbol-registration/

Best!

Hello, thank you very much for the links.
The previous post was about a question of mine about the New Anim Clip, and this post is just an idea that I think would be good for future updates.

"New Anim Clip" post.

copy the layers and paste into a new symbol.  that would take about 3 or 4 clicks (or less if you use shortcut keys).

But whenever I do that, the position of the drawings on the stage changes from when I copied them.
