CD Burning fails, Audition (both latest release and latest Beta) crash immediately burning is starte

https://community.adobe.com/t5/audition-discussions/can-no-longer-burn-music-cds/td-p/15279614 also refers to this problem.

As I reported there, this is a CD which I have previously burned successfully with an earlier relase of AA.

The error message and report which appeared with the release version has been sent to Adobe.

The Crash Recovery service did "activate" but did not allow burning to proceed on the second attempt.

I wonder wherther this is related to the issue of problems when attempting to "Extract Audio from CD"?:

Latest AA log file is attached.

Ticks = 4797 <29244> <CCFilesEOL> <5> Setting feature enabled: false, in app messaging enabled: false
Ticks = 36454      <29244> <AsioAudioDevice> <5> Driver Name =  Audient USB Audio ASIO Driver

This is where it's failed - but as to why?

Why indeed?

I've just repeated the exercise, using the latest release version and have added a couple of screenshots and the latest log file (but see below).

The first screenshot is what I see on first opening the CD Burn screen.  AA was updated some days ago so the computer has been rebooted several times since then.

The following appears (as expected) when the OK button is pressed.

I complete the form and send it.

I can't attach the log because it seems that the forum software can now not accept .txt files!!!

I think the forum will only let you attach a file to an original post.

LATEST

I posted elsewhere that the latest version of Audition, v25.2, will no longer burn audio CDs.  When I try, the program crashes to an error message.  Was this done on purpose?  I know the number of people using CDs is diminishing, but it is not zero.  I create my own CDs from recording my vinyl record collection and I truly need the ability to burn CDs.  Why remove a feature that works great?  If you don't want to try to accommodate new CD/DVD/Blu-ray drives in the future, fine!  Release a statement that you won't be adding new supported drives to the program going forward.  But please don't remove a functioning feature of your software that works without issue.  I reverted to v25.0 and can now burn audio CDs again.  But I'd like to benefit from future program updates going forward.  After all, I'm paying a hefty monthly fee to have the latest versions of all Adobe products.  Please fix this CD burning issue.  Thanks.
