I can't click on my files in after they have been dowloaded to audition. I'm trying to click on them and/or drag it to a multitrack session but to no avail. Nothing happens. Any thoughts?

It doesn't work like that. If you have files open in the files panel, then they are available in both Waveform and Multitrack views. In a Multitrack session, you just have to drag the file onto a track. You do have to have the Multitrack session loaded and running though - you can't do that without a running one.
