I've verified it.
22.3 process ducking as usual but when it automatically got updated to the latest 22.4, ducking no longer works. It process the data but does not duck the music track.
The first image is 22.3 and the second one is 22.4 (latest) .
I've cleared the cache and reinstalled both versions and verified the bug.
Has anyone else encountered this?
22.3 properly ducks and returns but 22.4 just stays level under same conditions.
Adobe, please fix the bug.

My bad, it's PC and I'm going to check on my Mac later today.
I hope anyone else has encountered this symptom.

Verified with Mac with ver. 22.4 and the symptoms are the same.
Therefore, the bug precides in all 22.4 version.
Everyone, please be aware of NOT using this version.
If you did update, (although there seems to be a huge vulnerability with 22.3), I would still DOWN grade and use 22.3.

This isn't true - ducking works fine in 22.4 on a PC, at least - I've just tested it. I don't have a Mac so I can't comment on that, but it certainly doesn't apply to all versions, as stated.

Hi SteveG!
Thanks for your input.
Then it must be locale restricted.
I'm using Japanese locale.
It did NOT work under both Win 10 and Mac.

I found the bug and reason, along with the soution to the issue.
The problem is that the sensitivity level has changed.
Before, there was enough sensitivity using "6" but from 22.4, I need to change it to way highabove to do the same but the threshold number does not change after 10.
Not only that, the level bar and the number inputting is not correlating.
Please see video.
The bar changes but the threshold number does not go above 10.
For those who uses threshold numbers, please be aware of the bug.
Ducking works but the threshold bar/number problem.

I'm just here to verify that it is not working for me either. Any update on a solution?

Thank you for confirming!
The only current solution I have found is to downgrade to the previous version which has crucial vulnerablities but I'm still using 22.3 on my Mac.

Just confirming that ducking also stopped working for me. MacBook Pro, Montery 12.3.1, Audition V 22.4

Thanks for your comfirmation.
I guess it's a bug and not a feature!

If you read carefully, you'll find that ducking still works, but that the operational parameters have changed. It probably is a bug, but it doesn't mean that it doesn't work.

Thanks!
It's working under different parameters and did find a workaround.

I also have the same problem. Windows 10, US English.
Between this and the fact that it rescans and readjusts your loudness every time you open a session now, this software went from my work-horse to near useless for what I do in audio mixing for video.

There was a new release 2 days ago but still, the bug isn't fixed.
The worst part of this 22.4 and beyond is that when you reopen the file, ducking is gone (although it's shown as the sound level is down).
Also the original conversation sound becomes very attenuated and damped.
Useless app.

Good News Everyone!
22.5 has fixed this problem!
