I am having trouble finding a way to arm multiple tracks to record at once. I have about 10 tracks that I need to arm and un arm at the same time, but I can't find a way to do it. Does anyone have an idea of how to do this?

Er, yes there is... if you only have inputs assigned to the tracks you want to record on, then you can set a keyboard shortcut to the 'Toggle Arm for Record for All' command, and it will arm all of the tracks that have valid input selections. I tested this using the # key - it works fine...

Unfortunately there isn't a way to select multiple tracks to Record with one click I'm afraid. Obviously you can select a many as you want to record to at once but one at a time. presumably you want to do this so that you can drop all ten tracks into record as you are playing back for dropping in alternative takes. The only way that you can do this is to pre-Select the region that you want to drop into and then move the Playhead back to a pre-roll position. Then pressing Record will start the Multitrack in playback mode and drop into the Record enabled tracks when it gets to the Selected portion. It will then drop out again at the end of the Selection.

Oops. I had forgotten about that shorcut since I rarely do anything needing lots of simultaneous Record arming these days. Does it work OK for dropping in on the fly on loads of Tracks at the same time? But, of course, it does rely on only having inputs selected to the channels that you need to record on. So you will need to disengage inputs to those on tracks which you don't.

Yes. It will toggle record-enable during playback on all tracks with a valid record source, and all you have to do is hit 'record' for it to start on the fly on all of them...

I think you'd only forget to do that once...

This arms all the tracks, right? Is there any way to arm only a select few tracks at once?

Like it says - disable the inputs on the tracks you don't want to record, and they won't.

That's not really a good option for recording a live event with like 24 inputs
