clear in and out range markers

OMG.... I'm a VERY experienced film editor, and just figured out how to do a 24-track mix with Audition using effects and keyframes and all kinds of stuff.  Then I exported and synced it up with the video and it's great.  Now I've just spent 30 minutes getting very frustrated trying to figure out what must be one of the simplest things ever:  how to remove the in and out marks I made to export a range.  WTF, I've searched everywhere I can think of, and I'm at the point where I'm going to go outside without a mask or gloves and mingle with crowds.  Please help

Yes, unfortunately there are many small wriggles that aren't fully documented in the help files. If they'd really done a comprehensive job on them, the product would almost certainly cost more; technical writers aren't cheap!

 

I said 'fully documented'. In the help files for keyboard shortcuts the description of what the Home key does certainly isn't complete, but it implies that any selection will be removed, I think. A more comprehensive explanation is given on the key tip if you look up 'Home' in the Keyboard Shortcuts panel, where it says 'Remove the selection if it exists, and move the playhead to the beginning', but I agree in principle - this is all back to front, because you have to know what you're looking before, before looking for it... 😉

I just happened to hit "home" so I could go back to the start and the in and out marks disappeared.  I cannot believe that there's NO mention of that anywhere in the manuals, online, in support groups.... I'm gonna kill myself anyway.... heh heh
