I'm running low on space on my Macbook, because all of my sessions are around the 2GB mark. Whenever I start a new session, I used copy/paste the previous one to use as a template rather than just use an empty template to start with.
I've since fixed this and it won't be an issue from now on, but I've got about a year's worth of 2GB sessions clogging up my laptop. Clearing unused files manually is a chore because you have no idea what's being used by the session until you remove it, restart the session and see if it throws up any warnings for missing files.
Pro Tools has a function where you can select all files not currently being used on the timeline and delete them. Is there anything like that in Audition?
All I could find was some external program from about 2008, so I'm not too sure about it. Plus it seemingly only runs on Windows, and I'm using a Mac.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Adam

I know the application you are talking about - a brilliant piece of work 😉
It works but it was designed for PC
However, what you can do is open each session one at a time and select the menu item File > Export > Session
Make sure you select the ' Save copies of associated files' option and then select another location on your hard drive and then press OK.
Once completed you can safely delete all files & folders in the original source folder.
If you don't feel confident then make a backup first before you try it for the first time.
