How do I get a missing recording button to appear in Adution CC's Default View - Editor

When I open Audition CC 2018 on my Windows 7 64-bit computer, there's no record button or other playback controls in the Editor of the Default view. How would I get these to appear? Thank you in advance.

I have the same problem with my record and playback buttons, but the Show Editor Panels is already checked. THis has happened before.

The "Show Editor Panel Controls" option is gray so I can't click it even though it's gray it appears to be already checked.  When I saw the red play button, it still wouldn't record.  Brand new today but have a job request. Help!

Well for a start, there are two sets of transport tools available - if you want another then go to Window>Transport for the second set (they do the same thing). If the ones permanently at the bottom of the Editor window have disappeared, then you've probably re-sized the screen to be too small. The quickest way out of all of these resizing messes though is to go to Window>Workspace and click on Default - that (unless you've modified it) will get you back to the state Audition was in when it was installed. Also, clicking on 'Default' at the top of the edit screen will achieve the same thing, but it's worth looking at the list there, as something else may suit you better.

Finally, there's absolutely no need to create MP3s in Audacity. If you use 'Save As' in Audition, you'll find options to save in all sorts of formats, including MP3.

    Hello!
I did check Windows Workspace and it is, in fact, set on "Default." So...
the first problem is I still can't see the "Record" button (and the screen
wasn't resized), and the second problem is that when it was showing (after
the initially successful record), it still doesn't record. I need help
    with that.

As for being able to save it as MP3 in Audition, that's fantastic. Before
I got my new computer I was using my Yeti Pro Blue mic with the free Studio
One recording program. I didn't have any problems. And it was free....
Now, I've paid for a monthly subscription and I can't see the record
button, and when it shows, it doesn't record.

    HELP,
