How to automate panning in touch mode using faders??

Hi

How do I automate panning in touch mode using the mixer faders?

When I select the Pan envelope and move the fader it adjusts the volume even if I hide it.

The same thing happens with all envelopes.

How can I do this?

Thanks in advance.

Correct answer ryclark

You can't with the Mixer faders. They are just for changing the audio levels only. You have to use the Pan control knob for changing Pan position automation.

Is this for audition only, or all daws?

Thanks, would some thing like this do the trick?

My understanding is that the BCF200 might be a better bet https://www.music-group.com/Categories/Behringer/Computer-Audio/Desktop-Controllers/BCF2000/p/P0246

The BCR's encoders are not, as I understand it, motorized, i.e they cannot "move" without direct physical contact of the user, whereas the faders on the BCF can, and do, move under MIDI control.

But use of MIDI is not possible in any version of Audition other than (the now rather old, but still functional) 3.

I have seen the BCF2000 but I want something that can do panning as well as other envelopes.

With the BCF2000 you only get panning and faders.

I personally prefer the X-Touch to the BCF2000.
