Hi everybody,
I am on Adobe Audition CC 2018 and I have a sound clip with keyframes on the 5.1 surround sound and others associated with that sound.
Basically what I want is to move the audio clip with the keyframes (not like this, if I just drag it) :
Thanks

Thank's, mcoyle1960. Yes, you allready told us about you're migration to Reaper.
I'm honestly terrified of switching to another DAW, I've been using Audition since the Syntrillium years and can manage it with eyes closed. Are there any tutorials specifically for Audition users who want to use reaper?
If 1960 is your year of birth, age can't be a problem. 😉 (I fear that sometimes...)

Hahahaha, yes, 1960 is my birth year and I'm 63-frackin-years old. While I like to think of myself as a genius (aren't we all) moving to Reaper ain't easy!! I took two years to transition from Pro Tools to Reaper. I started with easy projects and kep working at it.
My interaction with Audition came about as a college teacher. The school gave everyone Adobe accounts and I was hired to teach Audition. It has never main my main DAW.
Because of my background with Pro Tools and Reaper, I know how ridiculous the automation problem we're discussing in this thread is. It's a dealbreaker for me. I feel terrible teaching students Audition when it is so clearly flawed.
Anyway... the best resources for learning Reaper are the Forum and Kenny's videos. Links to both are at Reaper's site: www.reaper.fm
Take your time switching and enjoy the challenge. At MY AGE, it helps keeps the mind sharp and beats doing puzzles! 🙂

Are you trying to bind effects to the clip instead of the track? If so, I think that is accomplished through the dropdown menu in the upper-right corner of the clip.
In the attached examples, I've added two effects to a clip: a "flanger" and a "pitch shifter". Note "Flanger: Stereo Phasing" is selected in the upper-right corner. Also, note that my clip has FOUR separate lines in it---one for each effect...and each with its own set of keyframes, etc.
Fyi, this may not work for some effects that are not dynamic over time.

This is why audition SUCKS. I used it now for the first time and i don't think im gonna use it again for this very reason. I won't pay for a software that's not even able to do something so basic and usefull, that literally EVERY other DAW lets you do EASY.
They didn't fix it for years. I guess they just don't care, so now this sofware is going straight to the bin and im afraid it won't be installed ever again.

This is not possible as the keyframes are associated with the timeline, not with the audio.

ADOBE please please please please fix this
This is what we want. Simplicity.
Please just have it where we can click and drag over the clips and the keyframes and all are highlighted to move. If we don't want to move the key frames we can just click the drop down menu next to "read" to hide key frames.
You are losing loyal customers because of this issue. Even a person in this thread vowed to never come back.
PLEASE WE ARE BEGGING YOU!!!! Fix this please.
Thanks for your time and effort!

Well, as we're talking about this issue since 5 years I think we can forget it. Just accept Audition as it is or try it with another DAW.
