how to stop Audition converting sample types

I need help! I'm using Audition to mix audio files, that I have synch with pluraleyes.
When I import my xml file Audition keeps doing : "converting sample types", and therefore makes copies of my files. I just want to use the one I have already. I don't understand why it want to convert all the time (in 48000)
I have changed in settings/Audio material/ and selected 44100 it doesn't do anything
I don't get it and really want Audition to stop converting and duplicating my files...

Ok! so I found a way to make it work, I synch my files with premiere on a 44100 timeline and export ans xml and now when I import it into audition, no more conversion! I didn't know premiere had an auto synch feature
