I can record sound via Tri-Capture in QuickTime so the setup is fine. In Audition there's no input signal at all. The microphone access is granted to Audition in the Mojave System Preference. Anyone has any idea as for why this is failing...?

The information we have about this apparently relates to Mojave 10.14.1, and appears to be specifically about security settings - see this FAQ: Have you updated your Mac to Mojave 10.14.1? Do you have no audio in now?
Apologies if you've done this already - please let us know, and we'll attempt to find a Mac user to help...

Thank you for the info Steve. The security setting is applied correctly (please see the screenshot). Any other ideas...?

Firstly I have to ask you whether this has ever worked, or are we talking about a new installation? And also, how are you set up to record in Audition? Multitrack or Waveform view? I'm only asking because it's still possible that this is an Audition setup issue, and not Mojave.

Yes the hardware worked before with older OS (Yosemite) and Audition (not sure which version it was). I always use the single track waveform view. Thanks

At this point we need a Mac user...

Roland says since I can record sound via Tri-Capture in QuickTime, their driver is working correctly and it's an Audition issue (which I agree...)

Can you show us a screen grab of Audition's Preferences/Audio Hardware page showing the drop down of available audio devices?

Here's the Preferences > Audio Hardware screen. Output is fine via Tri-Capture by the way. Thanks

What's the master clock and clock source set to? I realise that you're trying to record in Waveform view, but have you tried Multitrack to see if it works there? If you are in Multitrack, is the appropriate input available to select as a record source on the track you're using?

Master Clock is set to TRI-CAPTURE 44.1kHz - no other option is available.
Multitrack has no signal either (with the input selected) but I assume if you don't get any signal in Waveform you won't in Multitarck?
This is really frustrating. Roland is hardly a niche hardware maker and Audition was working with the hardware before. Does anyone know a good alternative sound software for Mac...?
Thanks!

I still think we need a Mac user to have a look at this... it all seems rather odd.

I can record sound via Audacity (and QuickTime) no problem. There's something wrong with Audition hardware interface. No one else in this Universe using Roland hardware with Audition on Mac...?
