Question

Possible to make a selection in spectral display and find other instances of that selection?

Let's say I had a distinct recurring sound in a recording and wanted to find all instances of that sound. Think of, say, a crow's "caw!" Is it possible to select/sample one "caw" in the spectral display and have Audition find all other instances of "caw"? Similar to the find feature with text but with audio, presumably with some fuzziness since sounds don't match bit-for-bit.

Edit: and fwiw, yep, it's fairly easy to do by eyeballing the spectral display. But I'll have some very long nature recordings where it would be great to use software instead of eyes and ears.

In principle the Sound Remover will do the analysis part of this, but in practice it's not very good - even if you spend some time with it.
