Recording too slow via spdif

New Here ,
Mar 18, 2025 Mar 18, 2025

I am making recordings from mindisc or DAT using the spdif cable into a LogiLink 7.1 channel soundbox UA0099.

However, the final file is recorded too slow so that it sounds faster and a couple of semitones higher.

Whatever I do, I can't correct this.

What am I doing wrong or what changes do I need to make to Audition?

Thanks in anticipation.

Make sure that when you record, the file bit rate is set to 44.1k - minidisc default rate. If you don't get this right, then you'll get the speed and pitch discrepancy. Sounds like you've got the sample rate set to 48k...

Nope...Got it set to 44.1k 16bit for minidisc - also changed it to 48k when using DAT but still the same problem occurs.
