Sound only on the left side in waveform editor?

Was in a mono multitrack session, and when I went to waveform editor the audio is 90% on the left with only a tiny bit of sound coming out on the right. I have the necessary channels enabled and my audio hardware/mapping is also correct. The multitrack session itself sounds normal and fine but anytime I go to waveform it reverts to being left-heavy. Any ideas why and how to fix?

Is this actually a mono file playing like this? If it is, then it will be the settings on your sound device, I suspect.

It is a mono file and I'm not sure which settings I'd have to check out. By sound device do you mean audio interface, speakers, or the microphone? Again, playback while in the multitrack view is fine, it's only when it's in waveform editor that this has been occurring.
