I'm fully aware that Audition lacks any sort of Midi Sequencing functionality, but I'm looking for something a bit more mundane (and i'm sure @SteveG_AudioMasters_ will be able to answer this).
I have a Roland MC-707 that i'm looking to Multitrack Record directly into Audition. It acts as a Midi Device as well as an interface, and will do 20 tracks of audio over USB. I'm sequencing/performing completely separate from Audition, but would like to be able to edit my recordings in Audition (to send OMFs to a ProTools mixer).
With other DAWs, i'm able to set my hardware sequencer as the Clock Source, and trigger that way. . . but I'm wondering if it's possible to map ANY midi controller for Transport Functions in Adobe Audition. From there, I could map the Start/Stop button on the sequencer as Start/Stop in Audition, and the midi command from that button to trigger.
TL;DR - Anyone have any success with mapping Non-Faderport Midi Control Surfaces to Adobe Audition? Thanks.

I can't give you exact details, but it must be possible - because the Red Rover has transport controls, and that's MIDI via usb, as far as I'm aware.
