Using Audition to convert Vox format to Wav format

Hi new to audition and am in need of a converstion tool to take in .vox audio files and convert them to .wav. The first attempts at pulling in .vox files, I've found the audio are unintelligble and if I try to save as .wav format, they too are not understandable.

Anyone have any tips or suggestions on how I can make this work?

Audition should be able to open and decode them using Libsndfile. It would help if you could provide a sample - might be able to figure out what is or isn't going on...
