I've been trying to get some help for nearly 2 decades now getting to see what's going on in Audition. I have deteriorating vision and I need to adjust my screen displays. Unfortunately no one who has anthing to do with the actual product seems interested in making it even close to other software around.
I can't read the text in the panels, or on the menus. The font's too small, and grey text on dark grey background is just about the worst combination of colours it's possible to use It's very stylish I'm sure but i have cataracts, macular degeneration, one dead eye, i need to spend about 20 hours a week under deadline pressure editing multiple track files (sesx) - songs, voice, stings, tags etc making up my podcasts and syndicated radio shows.. I have made use of the windows features - enlarge the mouse arrow, change the resolution of my 2 screens as far as practical, (but Audition overrules Windows on the mouse icon and reduces the size of it at random intervals so it's invisible again) There's a windows feature that allows me to open a magnifier window underneath the mouse pointer (Thank you Jane for showing me that!) but the window is only large enough to show a couple of words and you have to move it around to read a whole menu item or error message. Sometimes finding a button to click "ok" or "Cancel" can take several minutes with the magnifier, and not using the magnifier for that can have me clicking "Cancel" when i wanted to get "OK" To use this Windows10 magnifier thing, imagine getting a drinking straw and looking through it to see the screen, then only reading what you can see through the drinking straw.
A few updates ago it was made possibe to change the fonts of some items and the colours in the Audition workspace, but not on the text that's important (contents of the panels, text in the editor screens, etc can't be changed in any way i have found) So that improvement was good but it didnt go anywhere towards improving what I need to do every week, on 5 hours of internationally broadcast radio programs and podcasts. (Plus incidental things like promotional messages etc station IDs )
I need to be able to increase the size of fonts everywhere round Audition, and change the colours of the characters and the backgrounds. The windows accessibility features dont address these aspects of Audition. Doing all this under time pressure of deadlines means every time i have to go back and listen to the last change i just made only to find i didnt do it accurately enough or I edited the wrong waveform so it has to be done again is increasing my blood pressure.
Please someone - it's been a probem for me for 20 years and it's getting worse. Can't you help me? Someone?
Cheers
