Multi track with Behringer Q802USB

Hello, I am fairly new to all this and I want to connect my Mixer so I can record all imputs (up to 6) in different tracks. For example, when recording a podcast, I can't seem to have the host and the guest in different tracks. When going to Audio Hardware, I can't see anything saying my Mixer is there. It records, but all on the same track even though I am connected n the mixer in different tracks. I searched and found nothing on this.  I rely on you guys! Thank you.

Thank you for your answer. I guess it would be better to record with a Zoom H6 and then transfer to Audition right?

For what you want to do, it might well be - at least it copes with multiple inputs.

Simple answer: with that mixer you cannot record to more than two mono or one stero track at a time since it has only a stereo output.  Sorry!

 

To explain a little more: to be able to record 6 inputs, each to a separate track, you need an audio interface that can output 6 individual audio "streams", most commonly now via USB.  Yout USB output outputs only two "streams".

Just to add a little bit... for some reason, presently there don't appear to be any small, affordable multi-channel USB mixers on the market at all. Alesis used to do one, and there were a couple more, but they've all been discontinued. As I said, I don't know why; it may be to do with it being much easier to set up a class-compliant USB driver, so manufacturers are only providing these, instead of a 'proper' driver. But I've had a pretty good look, and so far I haven't found any.
