Whilst the vast majority of keyword operations work faultlessly, I have encountered two which do not.
They are Deleting and Renaming a keyword from within the Keywords Panel.
This first came to my attention when I created a new keyword and made a typo. I simply could not delete or rename this misspelled keyword without either Bridge crashing completely or freezing for a good 5 minutes before becoming responsive once more. In either case the offending keyword was neither deleted nor renamed on the first attempt. A second attempt was successful but Bridge still froze for several minutes before completion of the operation.
I wonder if this is an issue with my system or a universal problem.
Please note that I am not referring at all to applying keywords to images which has never been an issue, but to the editing of keywords within the Keywords Panel.
I am on Windows 11 and Bridge Version 14.0.3.200.

Bridge 14 is still a mess. I suppose you could directly edit the XML file containing keywords, you can export it from the Keyword panel and re-import with corrections.

I'm on the same type of planform as you. While I do see a .25 to .50 second lag while deleteing or renaming taks, (including the lag in response between typing the individual characters) both operations successfully complete within that time frame. This sticky, laggy performance across the entire interface is frustrating at best, intollerable at worst, especially during scrolling through assets.
It is also why we remain in the Bridge 12 universe.

Tried out the Beta App today.
Keyword operations (move, rename, delete) now work as they should - no delay, no crash etc.
Thank you.
I might also add that Bridge Beta seems to allow my PC to work more snappily whereas Bridge 2024 would cause slow downs and unresponsiveness. I don't know how or why that might be but for me this is great news.

I just tried Adobe Bridge 2025 (Version 15.0.0.397) today. It's SUPER buggy. If I navigate between photos, it will freeze eventually after about 20 photos. If I tried to assign keywords to more than certain number of photos, it will freeze. I can't believe a company like Adobe can release such a buggy program. I know it's a free program but it's so bad. Don't you guys have a testing team or testing PERSON? I guess for free software, the public is your testing lab. I'm going back to Bridge 2022. Everything after that year / version are super buggy for some reason and I don't need any fancy new features other than tagging my photos with keywords. If there's a half decent interface for Lightroom Classic for keywords, I wouldn't be using Bridge.

Solved - for my laptop. OK - my mistake - I guess. I solved the issue. Bridge was freezing during a lot of file operations so I was guessing maybe the antivirus has something to do with it. I disabled McAfee but that didn't solve the problem. I looked into what services was running and noticed that there was a "Acronis Active Protection" process running. I recently cloned my hard drive so this was installed as part of the software I guess. It's supposed to protect from ransomware and mass encryption of user data so I stopped the service and uninstalled Acronis and everything's working again.
