Community Expert ,

After update to 2017 on W10 no more thumbnails for Canon mxf files.

In other words cannot play any video.

Anyone?

Alas no thumbnails/playback for 2017.

Back to CS6 which did/does give thumbnails and playback.

To David__B  : I unchecked the correct answer as its not the correct one, it did not solve the issue for 2017.

I re-installed CS6 as I knew it worked and still does.

Update:

still no canon mxf in latest 2017 build, but it does show the new canon xf-avc thumbnails.

Now I have to use Bridge CS6 for the xf-mpeg files and Bridge CC2017 for the xf-avc files..........

If anyone else is reading this in the future (and like me, didn't have any luck with XF Utility - it didn't recognise my MXF files...), Adobe Bridge does the trick 🙂

Never had the need to install or use it before now.

2019 - Bridge version 10.0.0.124, this issue still persists. Great job Adobe, just keep taking the money.
