I absolutely hate the updated Camera Raw editing. Very user-unfriendly!!! Please change it back. I was in the middle of working on wedding pictures when the update happened. All of a sudden my workflow slowed to a crawl. To have to figure out where everything is.
PLEASE CHANGE CAMERA RAW EDITING BACK!!!
You can download an earlier version from here:
https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-in-installer.html
However, ACR will not be going back to that form. This is intended to make the transition from Lightroom to ACR and back smoother for users so what you see is what it will be in the future.
I suggest you go back until you your editing and then update to the new one to get used to it. Yes, it's different, very different, but it does have its merits.

Couldn't agree more! Can't stand the update, If i wanted a lightroom interface I would use lightroom. The only reason I use bridge and Camera raw is because I can;t stand lightroom.

Roll the Bridge version back to 10.0.04, and the ACR version back to 12.2.1.

You can revert to the previous version of Camera Raw 12.2.1: https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-in-installer.html#12_x
You also need to downgrade Bridge to 10.0.4

Hi DarkWarriorUK,
Thanks for your message, I also hate the new ACR and I downgraded it successfully, however Bridge doesn't give me thumbnails of the files anymore, so I guess I have to downgrade it too...but how to make it? Could you please let me know? Thanks.

You can do that by going to Creative Cloud and clicking on the 3 dots next to open and clicking other versions - uninstall 10.1 - install 10.0.4 - then run the CR 12.2.1 installer
Restart your computer before you open any Adobe product.
That should work

Also you need to use Adobe Creative Cloud to install Bridge vesion 10.0.04

Works for everybody else but you it seems sadly.
Check what versions of Bridge and Camera Raw, your computer actually says is installed and check that the autoupdate feature has been turned off - normally when you downgrade a product it goes back to default "OFF".
If in program properties, you have Bridge 10.0.4 and CR 12.1.1 installed, my only suggestion is to uninstall all your CC products and follow the instructions on this link
https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html
Restart your computer
Then carefully reinstall products. Bridge must be installed from previous versions and CR from the link provided (Windows Machine - Right Click the file and click Run As Administrator)
Hopefully that covers all the bases and you join the rest of us in rollback bliss

This layout is counter-intuituve. As someone else mentioned, you can't even see the stars of the images you marked. So now I have to spend more time going back individually to remember which ones I cleaned up.
• For events - which require quick turnaround of photos captured - this is a massive waste of time.
• Unless I'm missing this and it already exists, please consider a sort by rating - or export only 5 stars etc.
• The right side layout - the tabs all blend together - it would good to make these more distinct
Is there somewhere where you explain the merits in an article?

Unfortunately, they make a lot of changes due to feedback from hosted focus groups that their product designers and marketing teams interact with. Mainly it's the institutional users of the software that have the biggest voice, companies with thousands of people and pay millions to Adobe who gets to say what we do.
I'll have to say it time and time again, sending feedback to Adobe's product designers is the best way.

The other option is to find the product managers on LinkedIn and express your personal feedback directly.

"Adobe will not be going back" in order to "make transitioning smoother" from Lightroom to ACR is pretty short-sighted in my humble opinion. In my experience users use either Lightroom or ACR - why would someone use both? Who was asking for a smoother transition? What merits does the new update offer from an improved workflow standpoint??

Horrible idea Adobe. Listen to your users instead of (again) going off on wild tangents. I've used the new update for 2 days and its driving me crazy.

I just wrote a mesage of complaint about the new interface in ACR. How many reports does it take for Adobe to get the message?
The old saying of 'don't fix what is not broken' apparantly is not known by some at Adobe.
I sincerley hope the message is clearly received and that a fix is posted quickly.
Respectfully, Mike Leonard

Still shaking my head! ACR is far more user freindly than Lightroom ever was. Maybe we have to scream loud enough and often enough before they get the message that WE WANT OUR OLD ACR LAYOUT BACK!

It's getting to the point where I can't upgrade any Adobe products because the %&*#&^% change things to totally mess them up - this update is rediculous / terrible / do they even try to use the program after they half kill it? Almost impossible to use the crop tool and the interface has been made totally illogical. Adobe - hire some decent engineers who know what they are doing!

Wow. I've maxed out the font size for Bridge (to the largest of only four options) so that I can actually read the menus. "Preferences" >> "Interface" >> "User Interface Scaling" has only three options: Auto, 100%, & 200%, with nothing in between. Selecting 100% with max. font size is borderline small, and 200% with min. font size is ridiculously large - there's nothing in between! A 150% option might work OK, but it's not an option, as should be others, such as 125% and 175%.
I like everything else about my displays setup and how my other applications appear, but I cannot make this work to get even close to my other apps.
This fails badly on both usability and accessibility (ADA compliance).

I really hate this new workflow. You can't even see the stars on all your images at one glance. You have to click on the individual image to see its star rating. This thing is too much like Lightroom, which I never liked. If I'm going to be forced to use this Lightroom-like disaster, I might as well switch over to Capture One.

This update sucks to no end. You say get used to it. I'll never enjoy working this. God you guys really suck.
