Description: Photoshop becomes unresponsive after using Subtractive Lasso in 'Select and Mask' tool.
Reproduced on: MacBook Pro (M2 Pro, 16GB), Mac Mini (M4, 24GB), MacBook Air (M3, 16GB), MacBook Pro (M3, 8GB).
Steps to reproduce:
- Open any image in Photoshop and choose any select tool.
- Go to 'Select and Mask...' and switch to Object Selection Tool (W).
- Choose 'Mode: Lasso'.
- Select a section of the image with a regular lasso.
- Switch to 'Subtract from selection' mode (or hold Option button) and try to subtract a small portion of the selection. Observe the result.
Actual result: Photoshop becomes unresponsive. Closing 'Select and Mask' tool leads to the image being stuck in one state, you can't open other images and do anything. The only solution is to Quit Photoshop.
Desired result: Photoshop doesn't get stuck. Or at least after clicking 'Cancel' in 'Select and Mask' it actually closes this mode and allows further editing.
