I also noticed that it only happen when I drag a clip directly to the timeline, but the problem is solved when the clip is dragged to the program monitor

Hi @pablokur - I believe this is happening because of the way you import your media. Can you tell me what your preferences are set to under Media > "Default Media Scaling"
If you have "Scale to frame size" on while importing your media it should scale correctly.

OK thanks for your response, anyway trust me when I tell you that this issue didn't happen before, as I use this app for 30 years. In fact, I never use the program monitor when dragging clips, I always drag them directly to the timeline. Don't worry, anyway it's not a big deal!

Same problem here. It is a bug. When importing a media into the timeline and "set to frame" was set in Preferences/Media/Deafault media skaling it did that until the new update 25.6.1 Now media is imported with original size.

Try dragging the clips or bins to the Program Monitor instead of to the timeline. It doesn’t really solve the problem, but at least it keeps it from bugging out.

I just updated to 25.6.2. Now the clip looks correctly scaled in the Program Monitor, but in Effect Controls the Scale value still shows 100%, which is wrong. You have to change it manually for it to display the actual scale value being used.
I hope they fix it soon because this is pretty annoying to deal with on a day-to-day basis.

So, another update, another problem.
Version 25.6.2, no longer works fit to frame even tho is active on the settings.
Seriously, this is becoming a joke. For reference: New project created after activate Fit to frame. Macbook m3 max. Doesn't work dragging the clip directly from the project window or the source window.

Hello, after the update, media resizing isn't working;
Edit > Preferences > Media > Default Media Resizing: > Fit to Frame.
I've added it, but it's not working.
Thank you in advance.

Hi @Stan Jones , thanks for another correction, seems like that's becoming a regular feature here. Anyway, I checked it again, and indeed still get the error in the shipping software 25.6.2 b1. And as I mentioned, it's been there for a long time in the beta.
Others seem to see it also, but not you?
I simply go to this folder: %UserProfile%\Documents\Adobe\Premiere Pro
(paste the folder above as is, it will go to the right place)
and then rename the 25.0 folder to something else, and when I start PP, the default settings are re-created by PP, go in and change the pref under Media, and (fit to frame) doesn't work as I noted. You can always delete the new 25.0 folder and rename the old one back to restore your prefs. I hope I didn't get that wrong also, will wait to see...
Yes, puzzling. Lately, I have just been using the Shft when open to get the reset dialogue. And I reset preferences, cache, and plugin loading cache. So to test further, I used my nuclear option: I renamed the entire documents/adobe folder and deleted the cache folders. I delete the entire folder because some preferences are in the Common folder, and when I am testing multiple versions, I generally want them all reset. And at some point, I was convinced that PR will pick up preferences from earlier versions, but that might only be when installing/updating.
Opened 25.6.2 and created new project. Set preferences to Fit to Frame. Add HD and 4K clips. Make sequence from HD. Add 4k to V2. Effect controls show 50%.
