P: Nikon Z 6, Canon EOS Rebel T7, 1500D, 2000D Camera Profiles Have Incorrect White Balance Settings

The Canon EOS Rebel T7, 1500D, 2000D (same exact model with different country names) camera profiles render properly using the camera's 'As Shot' white balance settings, but display a very high and incorrect Tint value in the LR 8.2.1 Basic panel. In addition when using any of the Basic panel WB presets (Auto, Daylight, Cloudy, Shade, Tungsten, etc.) set for the actual shooting lighting condition the image takes on a strong yellow-green tint shift.

This is a different camera and using a proprietary function probably not supported in LR/ACR. Adobe Engineering will see your post link here so if related perhaps can address it as well.

Yes Todd, it is a different camera, but the symptoms are so very, very similar. I have also found that no matter what WB setting I use on the camera, a new NEF created using the camera's Overlay feature always has a Colour Temp 2800 and Tint -119 when imported into Lr, yet it looks exactly the same as the original image until the WB setting is changed in Lr.

Agreed. The below video on YouTube of a Nikon D750 image overlay NEF file appears to be supported in LR Classic, but with incorrect WB values same as yours (2800 and -119).

Should be fixed in the next version of Camera Raw/Lightroom.

We are now up to Lr Classic 8.4 and the white balance issue I reported for a Nikon NEF file produced by combining two NEF files using the in-camera overlay feature still hasn't been fixed.

I can confirm the Canon camera WB issue posted here is still present in LR 8.4.
The Nikon image overlay issue you posted at the other link is a separate issue still marked as 'In Progress.' At that link I suggest posting a share link to an overlay NEF file that exhibits the issue for escalation. Thank you.

Rikk, it looks like the camera profile issue was fixed by creating a new v2 Adobe Standard profile and new v2 Camera named profile. However, a user at the below post discovered an issue when the Adobe Color, Landscape, Neutral, and Portrait profiles are used with a Develop Preset. When it is applied the WB Tint goes to a very large positive value similar to the original problem reported here. The new Adobe Standard v2 and Camera named v2 profiles do not exhibit this issue. My guess is that the new 'Adobe' named profiles, which are based on the Adobe Standard v2 profile have an incorrect profile ID number perhaps referencing the old (original) Adobe Standard profile.

Here's a user reporting very similar symptoms for a Nikon Z 6: a magenta cast when including profile Adobe Color in a  preset, a v2 Adobe Standard profile introduced last fall:

I am using a Nikon Z6.  When I create a preset that includes changing the color profile (i.e. Adobe Color to Adobe Portrait), it creates a magenta cast over the image. If I create a preset that changes other things, but does not alter the Color Profile (i.e. leave it unchecked), then I do not get the color cast. If I change the Color Profile from Adobe Color to Adobe Portrait manually (without using a preset), then it works fine (i.e. no color cast).

I also notice that Adobe Color and Adobe Portrait don't have a V2 like some of the others have, but again, they work okay when applied manually.
