For a complete overview of camera support in Photoshop and Lightroom, visit the following article:
Why doesn't my version of Photoshop or Lightroom support my camera?
Note: ETAs for specific cameras are not available.
No one can say (except for some Adobe employees, who are not allowed to say). You should check the list here each time Adobe updates the Lighroom Classic software.

Hi Sameer
I've also uploaded some of my Sony RX 100 VIIA raws in Dropbox here:

Thanks for the sample images, these are more than enough. The team has started work on this.
Thanks!

Last week I spent £5,000 on the latest MacBook Pro M4, this Sony RX100 VIIA Camera, tech assesories, an a flight to Europe to attend an expensive photographers workshop. So much for the latest technology. Now I'm screwed.

As a stopgap, you can use the free Sony Imaging Edge software to convert the raws to TIFFs, which can then be imported into LR at nearly the same quality.

Thanks. Yeah I've resorted to this. Not a bad temporary solution. Though TIFF files are huge and not as good as editing from a raw file. I pray Abode fix this issue asap.

Unfortunately today I got the latest ACR update (17.3) and it still won't recognize the RX100 M7A files (as I was hoping...)
Hopefully they will be included in the next update which (hopefully) won't take too long to come...

"Hopefully they will be included in the next update which (hopefully) won't take too long to come..."
Camera Raw and LR usually release every 8 weeks, so the next version might be due later in June. (I don't have any inside information.) Sony released these variant camera models three months ago, according to various threads linked above, though without any announcement or details on their web site. Normally, that would be more than enough time for CR/LR to incorporate the new models. But apparently Adobe just noticed the posts here two weeks ago, likely not enough time to get the changes into today's CR and LR. Most unfortunate.
There are two stopgaps:
- Use the free Sony Imaging Edge software to convert the raws to TIFFs, which can then be imported into LR at nearly the same quality. But the TIFFs can't be used with Denoise.
- Use the free Exiftool utility to change the camera model stored in the EXIF metadata of the .arw files:
There is a risk with this approach -- there might be some changes in the sensor or camera firmware in the "A" variants. Thus, the Adobe camera profiles for the original models may not produce the same results as the upcoming Adobe profiles calibrated to the "A" variants. No one has posted any details to let us judge the likely magnitude of this risk.

Yet reputable camera stores are still selling the VIIA version. No one tells you this problem with the raw files. We all find out too late.

Adobe Camera Raw Support Request
Subject: Request to Add Support for Sony DSC-RX100M7A RAW (.ARW) Files
Dear Adobe Camera Raw Team,
I am writing to report a compatibility issue with RAW files from the Sony DSC-RX100M7A (the latest version of the RX100 VII series). The Camera Raw plugin currently does not recognize `.ARW` files from this model.
According to the EXIF data, the model name in the file metadata is:
Model Name: DSC-RX100M7A
File Type: ARW 2.3 (compressed) format
These files are currently unsupported in both Adobe Camera Raw and Lightroom Classic, though RAW files from the RX100M7 (without the “A”) work correctly.
Additionally, macOS 15.4 also fails to preview or display these RAW files, likely for the same reason.
As the RX100M7A is the current model in Sony’s RX100 series, support for this camera would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for considering this request and adding support for this camera model in a future Camera Raw update.
Best regards,
astroboy104

@Sameer K, according to this thread, Sony released A variants of four cameras recently: ILCE-6100A, ILCE-6400A, RX100M7A, and ZV1A.

I'm still not able to edit my RAW's from my ZV1A 😞

Use the following workaround until the fix:
exiftool -progress -P -overwrite_original -Exif:Model=ZV-1 -sonymodelid=ZV-1 *.ARW

Maybe a dumb question, but how am I supposed to use this workaround?

You need to download the Exiftool via https://exiftool.org/ and then run the statement in the command line.

Lightroom Classic 14.3.1 and Camera Raw 17.3.1, just released, include support for the RX100M7A but not the other Sony A variants (ILCE-6100A, ILCE-6400A, ZV1A).

I just clicked on the 'include support' link you posted. And could not see the Sony RX100 VIIA in Adobe's latest support list. Adobe still only support the RX100 VII version. - and not the one ending with 'A.'
