P: Support for Canon .CR3 Camera-matching Profiles

There is currently zero support for .CR3 camera color profiles in Lightroom... especially since the newer Canon cameras use a .CR3 format... making it difficult to get work done. Only slightly surprised that this wasnt planned for beforehand since there still isnt a 64bit version of the adobe programs that i can use on the most current version of MacOS.

Hi, Fujfilm X-pro3 have been out for months, and Fujifilm X100V have been out for a few weeks now. They both introduce the new excelent film simulation Classic Negative. But I can not see that its been added to Lightroom Classic when I import my RAW files. I hope Adobe can ad it quickly.

I have been searching this question for days since getting my X100V and this is the first mention I've seen of it.  Thanks for posting.  I'll keep an eye on it.

Wait a second. Are you still using perpetual license LR? i.e. v6.14?

As for no 64bit. Huhhhh?? All is now 64bit, do you perhaps have some old left over stuff (being nice) stuck in your MAC?

Access to Camera Matching Profiles are camera specific. Exact camera. Not based on sensor, not based on in camera processor, not based on camera brand specific RAW.

So what camera do you have?

And, yes cr3 fairly new, what a March last year? So some catching up to do

See the response from Adobe in this other forum thread: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2650451
MadManChan2000 indicates work is in progress for those looking for the missing camera matching profiles for recent Canon Cameras using the CR3 format. (with exception of EOS R - which are already supported)

No idea specifically what the OP is referring to either.
Not all cameras have camera matching profiles either but until we know exactly what he’s referring to....

Are you referring to the Camera Matching profiles that approximate the in-camera renderings? At least some Canons have LR camera-matching profiles. For example, here are the ones for the Canon EOS R:

Which camera(s) are you referring to?

"there still isnt a 64bit version of the adobe programs that i can use on the most current version of MacOS"

Recent versions of Lightroom Classic, Photoshop, and the other Creative Cloud apps do run on Mac OS 10.15 (Catalina):

You don’t see an option for Adobe Standard?
