Adding a content slide after the Quiz Question Results slide in Captivate 2019

Hi,

Is there a way to add a Content slide after the Quiz Quesiton Results slide and still have quiz question responses captured in Adobe Connect?

I was able to add a Content slide to a Captivate 2019 project after the Quiz Questions Results slide.  In this case it was a slide listed the References for that module. Normally our Quiz Quesiton Results slide would include a 'Close' button (implemented for a cleint's LMS requirements). So we took two approachs -

A) added a 'Click to View References' button on the Quiz Question Results slide and a 'Close' button on the Reference slide. Allowing the end user to close the module either on the Reference slide or on the Quiz Question Results slide if they did not want to view the References - this worked well. Testing in Adobe Connect however only showed quiz quesiton responses are captured in Adobe Connect if the 'Close' button on the Quiz Quesiton Results slide is selected and not if the Referense slide 'Close' button is selected - in fact no data is capture in this later scenario.

B) removed the 'Close' button on the Quiz Question Results slide and left the 'Click to View References' button. So to exit the module, the end user needed to go to the Reference slide - this worked well.

However again, no data was captured in Adobe Connect when this approach was tested either.

We did not change any settings in the module preferences or quiz question preferences. Are there any ideas about how this can be set to possibly work by capturing all quiz questions responses in the module to Adobe Connect?

I am not sure to be able to help you, although I have a lot of experience and solved many issues with Quizzes for clients, but it is the link to Connect which I never used to capture score results.

First of all, can you specify the exact version numberThere have been 3 main releases under the common name 'CP2019': version 11.0, 11.5 and 11.8. You find the full version number under Help, About Captivate.

Normally the transfer of data to a LMS happens when the Continue button on the Results slide is clicked, and the last frame of that slide is reached. What happens  than is defined in the Pass/Fail actions under Quiz Preferences. That Continue button is the most important embedded object on the Results slide. You don't mention it, what happened with that button? Perhaps you did edit the label to Close? It is recommended to have at least one slide after the Results slide, it is the setup with the References slide which seems messing up the workflow.

Is there any reason why you cannot put those References on a slide before the Results slide? Make sure the Results slide is visited in a normal way and the Conitnue button is clicked. Use the slide after the Results slide for a final message and the Close button.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post if it helps you get responses.
