Adding Sounds to Drag&Drop Incorrect and Correct

Hello!

I am using Adobe Captivate 9 and I would like to add an Incorrect sound to my drop target. I think I may have to use advanced actions some how to do this but I am not entirely sure and have been fussing around all day with this, so thought it would be a good idea to ask.

I have this Question slide that has one answer out of 5 that is correct. I have managed to get the sound to go for the correct answer and a correct caption to come up by selecting Play Audio on the Drag and Drop tab. However due to the fact my question slide has 2 attempts to get the question right, I can only get the incorrect sound to go off when the 2 attempts have been completed. The sound does not play on the separate 4 that are incorrect should a student choose it. How would I go about adding an incorrect sound and incorrect image to appear at each incorrect question?

Thanks!

Katie

Do you have a feedback text for wrong/correct/retry? You can attach the audio to the appropriate message.

In a Drag and Drop interaction you can trigger an Advanced Action to be executed when a specific Drag Object is dropped on a Drop Target.  This means you can specify an audio clip to play when any of the wrong drag objects are dropped on that target.

All you need to do is select the DROP TARGET object and then look in the Drag and Drop tab properties for the options that allow you to configure Object Actions.  Set these actions to play the incorrect sound whenever one of the incorrect drag objects is dropped on the target.  Remember that this is configured from the Drop Target end, not by selecting the Drag Objects first.

Hi

Thanks for the quick reply!

I have done as you said, however now the incorrect sound plays when the item is dropped onto the incorrect object instantly. I wanted the student to hit *submit* and then get the wrong sound and the wrong image popping up as well, sorry I forgot to mention that I wanted the sounds to play when the submit button was hit.
