Another Newbie Question - Failure Captions Not Working with Click Box

Hi!  I'm still learning, and I have yet another question about feedback.

Now that I understand more about the timeline, I am almost at the point where I can get a quiz to do what I want it to do

I am having some issues with a click box.  When I preview the project, the Correct caption appears like it should.  However, when I click outside the click box, I don't get a failure caption at all.  I have Success and Failure Checked.  I also have

Pause for Success/Failure Captions and Pause Projects when user clicks checked.

I read somewhere to place the clickbox at the top of the timeline and have it start at 0.5 seconds.

None of this works.  Any suggestions?

Can you post a screenshot of the Timeline? Do you have any other interactive object on that slide?

I don't see the icon in my options that you have.  Can you see the item I attached using Insert Media?

Sorry it's not clear.  Captivate and the Surface Book do NOT get along well.

I'm thinking this is some random glitch.

Just for kicks I created a new project with the same options / properties.  I used the same fill options for the captions, and it worked perfectly.

I have no idea why this will not work in my other project.  Any ideas?

No idea, just being a corrupted slide or project I suspect.

If you have the "Failure" checked and the "Pause for Success / Failure Caption" checked as well, it should work.

One question though : do you see the failure caption on your slide in Captivate? If not, then deselect the "Failure" checkbox in the Properties panel, then reselect it to re-generate the failure caption.

Also check for the size of the caption. It may be there, but so tiny that you don't see it...

Hope it helps..

Hi Damien,

Yes, the failure caption appears in Captivate, and the caption is large enough to see. I am going to try to regenerate all of the click boxes to see if that fixes the issue. As with most of my questions, there is probably a simple solution that I’m missing. My company is sending me to training soon thankfully.
