Question

Assign points even if question answered incorrectly

Hello - In Captivate 2017, I would like to assign 10 points for my final quiz question regardless of how the learner answers.  i.e. If they answer correctly, 10 points assigned and if incorrect, still 10 points assigned.  I know I can do this with custom slides but can I do it with the standard Multiple Choice question slide?  Maybe with a Last Attempt Advanced Action?  I'm just not sure what the action would be.

Thanks,

Tracy

The easiest way is to not score the final question, but to add a scored object like a shape button to that question slide that is made visible by both the Success and Last Attempt action. Maybe a 'Next' shape button.

Thanks for the suggestion.  I inserted a shape onto the last question slide and checked off "Use as Button".  On the Actions tab, however, I do not see the Reporting section where I can normally select "Include in Quiz".  How do I make it a scored object?

My bad, sorry for that (was in a meeting when I answered, shouldn't do multitasking).

Of course, you cannot add a scored object to a question slide, not even to a Knowledge check slide.

    Two possible solutions:

    1. Create a custom question slide, I don't  know which type of question you are using? Maybe I could help setting up that custom question.
    2. Put that shape button on a non-question slide, following the question slide. But make sure that the learner has to go to that slide and has to click on that button. You can set both Success and Last attempt action for the question slide to 'Go to Next Slide' and find a way to make it necessary to click that button.
