Audio and slide time frame

On one or two of my slides, there is excessive time after the audio ends - until the slide changes to the next slide in an mp4 format.  I have deleted the audio and redid that one slide, but and republished to mp4, but the problem still persists.  How do I fix this?

Can you show the timeline of that slide?

You don't tell which type of audio, I suspect you have slide audio, and that you have a button with a pausing point, which is not pausing the slide audio. Understanding the timeline, stumbling block n° 1 for all Captivate users.

What I am using is a power point slide set converted to cptx.  I'm not sure where I see a timeline.  I tried changing the time in the timing tab on the right side of the slide to match the time of the recording and save the presentation, but it reverted back to the original time (which is too long). I looked at your video, and the only buttons I have for recording are the red record button, stop and the save option after I finish the recording.  I tried to sync with the playhead, but that option is grayed out.  I don't see a timeline option anyplace.

Sorry, will not rant but I hate the fact that the newbie UI is hiding the Timeline panel.

Look at the bottom of your screen, you'll see the tible bar of the Timeline. Click on that bar and the Timeline panel will open. Keep it open while learning Captivate, you'll need it all the time. Can you please post a screenshot of that timeline?

You are talking about Audio recording.

When you imported the PPT (a feature I never use, because it blocks you a lot) you had the choice to have it automatcially play or controlled by the user. You probably choose the second option which will have added a click box to each slide. That click box is pausing at the end of its timeline.

When I right click on the timeframe bar, it gives me the same option menu that I get when I right click on a slide.  I tried adjusting the duration of the slide by checking the recording (audio) time and changing the time in the duration area on the timing tab on the right side of the slides.  In process of converting to mp4.  I'm hoping this will work.  Next time I have to do a presentation, I will do it in Captivate.  I had to utilize ppt's that were already in place.  Didn't have the same issue with the other one I converted from ppt.
