Can you turn an image into a button/responsive object?

Is there any way to make an imported image a responsive object - i.e. when I click it, it reveals another object? I don't see that option any where. I thought maybe advanced actions, but I was unsuccessful.

Thank you.

You can insert an image button. On Captivate 8 you click 'Interactions'>>'Button' and then in the properties bar on the right you select 'Image button' and then click the folder icon to pick your image.

If you want it so that, when you click the image it reveals another object, set the action to be Show>>Your Object.

Hope that helps.

It is not that simple: do not forget that in a responsive project you need to take into account all the breakpoint views. Moreover, you cannot just pick your image to have an image button: you have to create 3 images with same name, ending on _down, _over and _up. Check the provided image buttons in the Gallery\Buttons and there are some older help pages describing the work flow.

A newer way of turning an image in a button, where you don't need a separate graphical editor like Photoshop (because you need to create three images with specific names),  is to fill a smart shape with an image. It has the big advantage that you can create the states within Captivate, instead of creating three graphical assets like with image buttons. However, the same tip: be careful to check the button in all breakpoint views.

Here is the work flow to make a shape button from an image:
